Thank you from the family for helping us on mom’s final journey. Your caring and help to us in understanding what happens made it much easier for us.

The loving care given by your team is very much appreciated. We knew when we could not be with her during her last days, she had wonderful loving people caring for her. For all you did that we know about and for all the things done we don’t know about, many thanks.

A simple thank you cannot express the gratitude we have for all the staff at Alamo Hospice. Through a difficult time, you gave us peace. You all helped make this last journey we shared with our parent beautiful. The compassion and understanding you gave our parent and us truly touched our hearts.

In spite of the sad circumstances, we want you all to know how grateful we are that Alamo was there for mom at the end. All of your staff was very knowledgeable and always extremely caring and helpful. Even on weekends, evenings, or the middle of the night, everyone seemed to know all about my mom and was eager to provide whatever we needed at that time. My mom had been under the care of another hospice eight months prior. The assistance they provided was nowhere close to what you offered in support for both mom and us, her family caregivers.

Thank you for taking such good care of my dad in his final days. He was able to be comfortable and at home because of your wonderful work. And in the end he passed away very peacefully. What a blessing. Thank you again.

How do I begin to thank you for the gift you gave to my dad, to me, and to my family? You have been with us at the beginning when we were planning and taking such care. Then came the time when my world stopped and you stepped in to lift me up and watch over Dad. Then, as we planned, to be there and give me and my family more strength to watch over my amazing Dad.

I don’t think I would be standing today without your support, your comfort and your gift of love. It is impossible to explain to the outside world all you did for him. But I will say the most important thing is that you touched him.

Yes, you tended to him, talked with him, prayed with him, made him feel clean, played him music, clipped his toenails, made him laugh and helped bring his family closer to him. But the most important thing I saw was that you touched him with your love. You held his hand, you caressed his face, you got right in his face and reminded him he was special, loved and in God’s hands. That is the gift I thank you for.

I was blessed to call him mine and I hope you are forever changed having known him and felt his loving spirit. I was happy to share him with you.

Just a few minutes of your kind attention to express my heart’s gratitude to Alamo Hospice. My mother has received kind attention through one of your teams for the last 3 ½ months. Recently, Alamo Hospice offered me the opportunity to go home for a visit. Not only was I given a chance to choose the place where my mother would be taken care of, but my mother’s nurse and her aide kept a close watch to make sure she was well. I was able to see my family and rest, which I so much needed since I have been taking care of my mother for the last four years. My mother and I are so thankful to Alamo Hospice. San Antonio may have a winning team with the Spurs, but my mom and I have a winning hospice team. I could say much more, but all of these words cannot express my deep appreciation.

Thank you so very much for giving me the tools and confidence to be able to keep mom home those final days. You are extraordinary women and I cannot express my gratitude enough.
